Service
Monthly bookkeeping
The core service. Every month closes with accurate books, reconciled accounts, and reports you understand.
This is the engine of everything Dave does. Each month he categorizes your transactions, reconciles your bank and credit card accounts, and closes the books. Then he delivers your reports and, when you want it, walks you through what they say about your business in plain language.
The rhythm is built around you. Some clients want a weekly check-in. Most settle into monthly reports and a quarterly conversation. Some only want to talk near tax time. Questions in between get answered fast, usually within a day.
By the time tax season arrives, there is no scramble. Your CPA gets a year of books they can trust, and you get a filing season without dread.

Questions about monthly bookkeeping
What do I have to do each month?
Very little. Answer Dave's questions when a transaction needs context, and read your reports. If something in a report raises a question, you schedule a call and get clarity.
When do I get my reports?
On a schedule you two agree on during onboarding, tied to when your bank statements close. The cadence is set in the proposal so expectations are clear from day 1.
Can I switch to Dave from another bookkeeper or firm?
Yes, and it happens often. Dave reviews your existing books first, flags anything that needs fixing, and manages the transition so nothing falls through the gap between providers.
Is there a minimum engagement?
There is a minimum monthly fee, and the amount depends on your volume and complexity. Dave quotes it after the free consultation and a look at your books.
